8 Reasons Why I Love Fall
Summer has ended and there’s a freshness in the air. The season is Fall. Fall is by far my favorite season. It comes once a year and it puts a little excitement in the air. Here are eight reasons why I love Fall.
1. Spending more time with family
Our family tends to spend more time with our extended and immediate families during the Fall. Everyone slows down their busy schedules and make it a priority to be together. If your family is anything like mine, we eat, laugh, and enjoy one another’s company.
2. Baking begins
If you love to bake, Fall is the season to get in the kitchen and pull out your favorite cookbook. Cookies, cakes, pies and anything that has the aroma of baking is my favorite.
3. Sprucing up my home
There’s something about the Fall that gives me the urge and desire to spruce up my home. I normally encourage the family to get involved and turn it into a fun activity. Kids love helping by adding their own special touches. Here are a few ideas.
4. Changing out my wardrobe
It’s time to put the shorts, tank tops and flip flops away. I love pulling out my sweaters, boots, and jackets. Fall wardrobes offer such a variety of combinations verses from the summer. I look forward to mixing and matching my clothing to create plenty of diversity.
I am a soup kind of girl. I can literally eat soup every day. Soups are so quick and easy to make and can prep ahead of time. One of my favorite soups I just love to make is Lentil Soup. Enjoying a nice, warm bowl of soup sets a tone of relaxation. Here are a few recipes to try for yourself.
6. Cinnamon and more cinnamon
Gosh, I love cinnamon. I use it a lot in my everyday cooking, but there’s nothing like the smell of cinnamon being added to Fall recipes. Cinnamon tea is also delicious this time of the year.
7. Exploring the beauty of the trees
There’s nothing like observing trees that have changed color during this season. There are combinations of reds, browns, and greens that are absolutely amazing. The trees show the true beauty of God and his magnificent creation.
8. The kickoff season of being thankful
Fall kicks off the season of being “thankful”. We’re all thankful for our blessings, but the Fall puts everyone in a kind mood. As the holiday seasons approach, people tend to be more festive in their attitudes.
